12 Days Family Safari

Short Overview

A Tanzania safari is a delight for all ages, and as such is an ideal family holiday.  The excitement of the adventure is truly shared, allowing parents, grandparents and children to treasure memories for ever after.  Every safari is so different, each wildlife moment is so distinct, that even old timers cannot claim to have seen it all before…

We’ve created many fabulous Tanzania family holidays – however, careful consideration and planning is required on many fronts when putting together an ideal family itinerary.  The availability of family suites (or extra beds), child-friendly activities and child special rates varies enormously from lodge to lodge

After spending most of the previous days in the car you might enjoy to get out of the car for some physical activities and to explore the area at the Rift Valley Escarpment by walk guided by well-trained local guides. First you walk through Mto wa Mbu Village where your guides introduce you to the local village and social life, to economic activities, education and many others things. Instead of the village tour your guides can also take you to a large banana plantation, one of the basics of local economy life and explain you about this agricultural meaning. Later you can walk through a small forest inhabited by monkeys and dikdiks which leads to Miwaleni River. Following the river is a thrilling (maybe little strenuous) hike and climb over rocks and stones until you finally reach Miwaleni Waterfall hidden in the Rift Valley Escarpment.
After lunch at your lodge or in the village and some rest the kids can go for a bicycle ride in the plains towards Lake Manyara while one of the friendly staff members will happily accompany them.

Tonight and the following night you spend in a comfortable tented camp at the edge of the famous Serengeti, with views over the endless savannah with some animals and typically African acacia trees.
