Day 1 Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After picking you up in the morning, we will give you a short brief of the safari before heading southwest to the sixth largest park in Tanzania, the Tarangire National Park. The semi-arid yet diverse landscape of the park is marked by acacia woodlands, giant baobab trees, and grass. The highlights include large herds of elephants and other animals gathering around the perennial Tarangire river and other swamps in the dry season for a fiery showdown between predator and prey. The park is renowned for its dense wildlife which includes predators like lions, leopards and hyenas, and the rare and endangered wild dogs besides swarms of yellow-breasted lovebirds to kudus, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and impalas.
