The topography is exquisite in its diversity, ranging from savannahs to tropical rainforest and the beauty is further accentuated by panoramic vistas which encompass the Momela Lake, Mt. Meru and Ngurdoto Crater. Set under the foothills of Mt. Meru, Tanzania’s second highest mountain, the park offers a view of the majestic snow-capped Kilimanjaro at a distance. Besides the white and black Colobus monkeys, the park is also the abode for the zebras, giraffes, dik-dik, klipspringers, occasional lion or leopard and spotted hyena which offer the spectacle of morning and afternoon game drives besides walking safari and canoeing in Small Momella Lake where the hippos are at play.

Enjoy a hot shower as the cool night air strokes your skin and sleep to the sounds of birds and insects that serve as a constant reminder of your night in the wild.

Your day will start with a traditional game drive through the park where you will see the rich wildlife ranging from a large number of giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and a variety of antelope species. Going in, get ready to be floored by the mysterious montane rain forest, home to the white and black Colobus monkeys. As you game drive through the park you will see the tranquil alkaline green or blue-hued seven lakes forming the Momela Lake attract nearly 400 species of birds including flamingos, ibis, heron, egrets, colourful turacos, and trogons etc. Other games include dik-dik, klipspringers, occasional lion or leopard and spotted hyena.
