Our guide will meet you in the morning and together you will undertake a 2-hour drive to the Tarangire National Park. Once there, the guard will open the roof of the car for an enhanced visual experience. The semi-arid yet diverse landscape of the park is marked by acacia woodlands, giant baobab trees, and savannahs. The highlights include large herds of elephants and other animals gathering around the perennial Tarangire River and other seasonal swamps in the dry season for a fiery showdown between predator and prey. An elaborate and heady game drive later you will head to the Simba Lodge, located near the animal dense Silale Swamps.

Today is about exploring the primordial bushes of Tarangire on foot accompanied by an experienced guide and an armed ranger. You will explore the surroundings, try to decipher animal behaviour and read their footprints and tracks. Lunch will be at the camp and then it’s time for an afternoon game drive to enjoy the stunning landscape and vivid animals of the park. You will return to the Simba Lodge at sunset for the overnight.
On the way to the gate, you will have opportunities to spot the animals that might have eluded you so far. You then head e to the multicultural village of Mto Wa Mbu. After spending some time in the thriving microcosm of Tanzanian ethnic diversity you will continue to the lush crater highlands leaving behind the spectacular trails of the Rift Valley. Once you reach the crater highlands you can see the stunning vistas of Maasai plains and the picturesque pink flamingo hued Lake Manyara regale and urge you to capture some scintillating photos. You then head to your destination for the day, Karatu and the Acacia Farm Lodge in the middle of coffee plantation and surrounded by wonderful views.
Today you will head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the steep 600 m deep crater making your way through the forested slopes which soon give way to savannah interspersed with the occasional acacia. The crater offers fascinating vistas in the diversity of habitat and inhabitants with nearly 30,000 animals calling the crater home. Pan out your vision to catch the Big 5 and the wildebeest, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs and Grant’s gazelles which sustain the resident predators.
After a thrilling day on game drivers followed by a picnic lunch in the crater, you will drive out of Ngorongoro Crater in the afternoon and head back to Karatu.

Today you will set off for an exploration of the iconic Serengeti National Park. Once you are made your way through the crater highlands, you will see the endless swathes of savannahs and comprehend why the park derives its name from the Masaai word “siringet”, meaning “endless plains”. The vast ocean of never-ending grassy plains is home to huge populations of mammals like elephants, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, topi, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles and is famed for the natural spectacle of million wildebeest on migration pounding the earth in search of greener pastures. The location of the wildebeest depends very much depends on the timings of the rains. You will spend the night at Acacia Luxury tented camp.

Serengeti is a huge ecosystem with 5700 sq. mi falling on the Tanzanian side of the border and one day is never enough to soak in the richness of the iconic park. So we have full two days dedicated to game viewing on the Serengeti. If you are in Serengeti you can’t miss the natural spectacle of million wildebeest on migration pounding the earth. The migration cycle is very much dependent on rains so get in touch with your guides to confirm the exact location of the place where the action unfolds. Unknown to many, Tanzania has two rainy seasons and in the short rainy season(Nov-Dec) the herds make the journey from north Serengeti to the south. In the long rainy season(April-June) the herds are back in the north. Your overnight will be at Acacia Luxury tented camp

After a hearty breakfast, your guide will take you to the airstrip. Here you will say goodbye and board a small aircraft which will take you back to Arusha.
