Day 3: Tarangire National Park

Your dream of an African Safari becomes a reality this morning after you leave the camp and start the game drive in Tarangire National Park with packed lunch. Tarangire is the third largest national park in Tanzania. This delightful park, covering an area of 2,600 sq. km was established in 1970, and it is the numerous baobab trees that will initially catch your eye. The Tarangire National Park derives its name from the Tarangire River that rises in the highlands of central Tanzania and winds its way through the game sanctuary. The river irresistibly lures the herds of plains migrants from the parched surrounding area to its shrunken – but permanent – brackish waters during the dry season. The animals come by thousands from as far north as the shores of Lake Matron, dramatically swelling the resident population with wildebeest, zebra, and eland, elephant, hartebeest, buffalo and fringe-eared Oryx. Tarangire is said to have the highest recorded number of breeding bird species for any habitat in the world. As the rainless days continue the Tarangire pools are clotted with thirsty migrants, and elephants begin to dig for underground streams in the dry riverbed. After enjoying the game drive you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Gibbs Farm

After breakfast at lodge you will drive to Gibbs farm. The farm was built as a coffee plantation by German settlers before it passed into British hands after the war, and it has been welcoming guests ever since. It can be slightly overbearing for some people and is a bit too popular with American package holidays. Gibbs Farm offers a fantastic break from safaris and a great chance to see a completely different and very rural African way of life. After enjoying this amazing place, you will have hot lunch at this place before start drive to Ngorongoro conservation area. After lunch, you will drive to Ngorongoro gate not far from Gibbs farm almost 45minute then drive to Serengeti national park on game on route then you will drive to the central of Serengeti for dinner and overnight inside the park.

Day 5: Serengeti, Northern part

After breakfast at the camp you will you will leave the central of Serengeti national park to northern Serengeti, continue to game drive in northern Serengeti where you will get the chance of witness the wildebeest migration. Serengeti National Park covering 10,000 square miles is Tanzania's largest and most famous national park. As the southern part of a vast expanse of plains land shared with Kenya (where it is known as the Masai Mara), the Serengeti supports one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in the world. It is home to dozens of species including antelope, hyena, leopard, giraffe, lion, buffalo and cheetah; but, at certain times of year, the main attraction is the vast numbers of herd animals – primarily zebra and wildebeest – on the move across the plain in a massive migration in search of fresh grass and water. The sight of so many animals, from the air or on the ground, is spectacular. A game drive this afternoon will introduce you to this park, famous throughout the world.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Accommodation: Serengeti Tanzania Bush Camp

Day 6: Serengeti, Northern & Central

After breakfast at camp we will proceed for a full game drive viewing the great migration at Mara river area. Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high in the Wagakuria area. The key feature is the Mara River and there is a great chance to see the herds cross the Mara River to the north on one day and back south a few days later. Please note that it can be very difficult to witness crossing and is sometimes a matter of luck. A herd can be seen next to river and only decide to cross a couple of days later. This area is a stunning region with kopjes, woodland, riverine vegetation and open plains, similar to Kenya's Masai Mara Game. After a game drive you will drive back to central Serengeti for hot and later drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight,

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

Depart in the morning from the camp site with picnic lunch, drive to the the scenic Ngorongoro Crater enjoying wildlife viewing along the way, drive to Ngorongoro crater and on arrival descend into the crater for a full day of game viewing. A picnic lunch will be taken on the crater floor. The crater supports up to 25,000 large mammals. Grazers dominate: zebra, wildebeest – accounting for almost half the animals – gazelle, buffalo, eland, hartebeest and wart hog. Giraffe, for example, stay away because there is insufficient food at tree level; top because they compete directly with wildebeest. An odd feature of the crater elephants is that they are almost exclusively bulls. Breeding herds – comprising large numbers of females and young with a few attendant older males – are probably unable to find sufficient quality food in the crater. Ngorongoro has carnivores in quantity, drawn by the large herds of prey animals. It has the densest population of large predators, mainly lion – about 100 – and more than 400 spotted hyenas, living in eight clans of up to eighty individuals. Both lions and hyenas will scavenge from each other, depending on weight of numbers and of course, hunger. After enjoying your day in the crater, you will start driving back to Arusha for dinner and overnight at your Lodge.
