ViSA REQUIREMENTS
All visitors to Uganda must have a valid passport with at least six months of validity from the date of entry. Depending on your country of origin, you may require a visa to enter Uganda. Visitors from most countries can apply for a visa online, which is then issued electronically. However, some countries require a visa to be obtained before arrival, so it is important to check with the Ugandan embassy or consulate in your country.
COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Uganda has put in place a number of health and safety measures for travelers. All visitors must present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure. Upon arrival, visitors are subject to a health screening and temperature check. Travelers who test positive for COVID-19 will be required to quarantine for 14 days at their own expense.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
While travel insurance is not a requirement for entry to Uganda, it is highly recommended to ensure that you are covered in the event of any unforeseen circumstances. Medical facilities in Uganda may not be up to the same standard as those in your home country, and it is important to have adequate insurance in case of illness or injury.
